About Me

Job History

From 1997 to 2003 I studied psychology at the University of Mannheim focusing statistics and organisational psychology as well as computer science as an elective course. During my studies, I specialised in usability engineering at IBM Development Germany in Boeblingen. There, I also wrote my master thesis about the benefits of a context sensitive help system in 2002/2003.

From 2003 to 2007, I was employed as a usability engineer at the Berlin-based usability company relevantive AG. My responsibilities were planning, execution and analysis of usability studies, presentation of the results and customer workshops.

From September 2006 to September 2008, I worked as a freelance usability consultant for software companies, IT departments, and usability companies. The range of projects was widespread and included music and concert coordination software, a personal information management application, a 3d virtual world, and different social community platforms. In these projects, my responsibiliy ranged from user research over usability consultancy to prototype and user interface design.

Since October 2008, I have been working as a product designer for PhaseZero.
