About Me

Job History

From 1997 to 2003 I studied psychology at the University of Mannheim focusing statistics and organisational psychology as well as computer science as an elective course. During my studies, I specialised in usability engineering at IBM Development Germany in Boeblingen. There, I also wrote my master thesis about the benefits of a context sensitive help system in 2002/2003.

From 2003 to 2007, I was employed as a usability engineer at the Berlin-based usability company relevantive AG. My responsibilities were planning, execution and analysis of usability studies, presentation of the results and customer workshops.

Since September 2006, I have been working as a freelance usability consultant for software companies and IT departments, as well as usability companies. I have performed usability evaluations, done user research, developed Human Interface Guidelines and given directions how to make software usable. See my Services for more information.
